With many songs written, including “Don’t Take Me for Granted” and “Nickels and Dimes,” Mike Ness is excited about the direction of the new album.” I want every record to be different from the last one but I also want to keep continuity with our sound,” said Ness. “So this record will be a departure from our others without losing our signature style. It has a real ’70’s feel and a real 2000 feel. It’s definitely a balance of the two.”Social D will again work with producer James Saez. Saez has already worked with Social Distortion and Mike Ness a few times, producing Ness’ two solo albums and SD’s “Live at the Roxy.”. He has lent himself not only as producer, engineer and mixer but has also played guitar and percussion as well. He has a long list of other credits including working with bands like Nine Inch Nails, System of a Down and Porno for Pyros.Joining Mike and John in the studio will be Charlie Quintana and Johnny Wickersham, who both recently played with Social D at the When The Angels Sing benefit.
