Show Review: 489

My third Social Distortion concert was possibly the best one yet. Not only are they celebrating "30 years of underground rock n roll", but in a couple of months I will also be 30. As if seeing the band again wasn’t enough I actually got to meet Jonny Wickersham. It may have just been a handshake from an annoying fan, but to me it was like seeing an old friend. (maybe I can meet Mike and the rest of the guys the next time..?) The opening bands were pretty good. The Strangers were quite energetic, but I had trouble hearing over the drums. Civet was not only the hottest female band I’ve ever seen, but they put on a damn good show. Loud, fast, angry and energetic. In all, this was one night I will never forget, and look forward to seeing everyone again in the future.
