Social Distortion’s song “I Was Wrong” will be a track featured on the forthcoming Rock Band 2 video game. Rock Band 2 will feature more than 80 tracks on disc. Some of the other artists included in the game will be Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Pearl Jam and Rage Against The Machine. On April 28, 2008, members of MIA with Jello Biafra and Kevin Seconds, Social Distortion, Cadillac Tramps, Jigsaw and Naked Soul got together at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA to create “Beautiful Noise” a benefit concert for The Mike Conley Family Memorial Fund. In addition, our friends over at Fender graciously donated a Sonora acoustic guitar for the event. The guitar is signed by every member of each band who performed that night including: Mike Ness, Jello Biafra and Kevin Seconds.

Social Distortion have confirmed dates to reschedule their canceled San Francisco shows from this past weekend. The show scheduled last Saturday, January 5, has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2008. The show scheduled for this past Sunday, January 6, has been rescheduled for Monday, February 4, 2008. Tickets from Saturday, January 5, will be honored on Thursday, January 31. Tickets from Sunday, January 6, will be honored on Monday, February 4. Refunds are also available at your point of purchase. The band apologizes for this inconvenience and hope to see everyone at the rescheduled dates.

Over the next couple of months the folks at Epitaph Europe will re-release Social Distortion’s and Mike Ness’ Time Bomb Recordings catalog in Europe. All the titles below except Mommy’s Little Monster will be re-released December 17 in all EU territories excluding the UK, Germany and France where the catalog will be released January 25. The re-release of Mommy’s Little Monster will follow shortly thereafter. The track-listings remain the same and the packages have been updated from the original artwork. Mike Ness has recently written the Forward for a new book titled The Electroline Diaries: A Journey With The Burbank Choppers Car Club. Writer Laurent Bagnard follows the Choppers through Southern California, Las Vegas, and Yokohama, Japan. He captures the Choppers in their element ­ hanging out with fellow hot rodders, catching their favorite bands, traveling to car shows far and wide, and cruising in their cars.
