After a month and a half of laying down tracks in a Los Angeles studio, Social D. are taking a short break to rehearse for their upcoming and first ever South American tour. Departing next week, Social Distortion are looking forward to this forthcoming tour that will take them to Buenos Aires (Argentina), Porto Alegre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro (Brazil), Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Curitiba (Brazil).

Mike Ness quoted earlier this year saying… “The band and I are really looking forward to our tour of South America. From the overwhelming amount of emails we receive from our fans in South America, it’s crazy to think that it’s taken this long for us to come down and tour. We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that we’re finally making it happen and we look forward to meeting our loyal fans in Brazil and Argentina for the first time. We hope to come home with a few new fans as well!”

Due to many foreseeable scheduling conflicts with his band Angels And Airwaves, we regret to announce that Atom Willard will no longer be able to continue on drums for Social Distortion. We know this was not an easy decision for him, but Atom is an incredible individual and we’re all better people for having him on board while we did. Atom will be sorely missed, but we wish him the very best.

Due to an unforeseeable scheduling conflict, Social Distortion have had to make some changes to their announced South American tour schedule, set to take place in April 2010. The tour now starts in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 9th and will end in Curitiba, Brazil on April 18. The tour will include all of the originally announced club shows such as El Teatro Flores (Buenos Aires), Casa do Gaucho (Porto Alegre), Via Funchal (Sao Paulo) and Curitiba Master Hall (Curitiba) and a recently added show at Circo Voador in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience. All tickets purchased for Buenos Aires on April 22 and Porto Alegre on April 20 will be honored on the rescheduled dates. Refunds will also be available at your point of purchase.

We thank you for your understanding and we’re looking forward to seeing you in April!

Debido a un imprevisto problema de agenda, Social Distortion ha tenido que cambiar algunas de las fechas en sus proximos shows de Abril de 2010 en Sudamerica. La gira comenzara entonces, ahora en Buenos Aires, el dia Viernes 9 y culminara en Curitiba, Brazil, el dia 18. La gira incluira todos los mismos shows anunciados anteriormente – El Teatro Flores (Buenos Aires), Casa do Gaucho (Porto Alegre), Via Funchal (Sao Paulo) y Curitiba Master Hall (Curitiba) – a los cuales se ha agregado una funcion en Circo Voador, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Pedimos sinceras disculpas por este inconveniente. Todas las entradas compradas para las fechas originales del 22 de Abril en Buenos Aires y 20 de Abril en Porto Alegre son totalmente validas para los nuevos dias. Quienes lo desen, pueden pedir la devolucion de su dinero en el mismo sitio donde fueron originalmente adquiridos los tickets.
